Willpower
Complementary Therapy is a do-with culture, in that it requires your co-operation for its success. It doesn’t work like surgery, where a surgeon operates to remove the bad parts in your body.
Willpower is the most important component of Complementary Therapy. You are not going to be able to lose weight or stop smoking merely by the hypnotist waving their hands around or swinging a pocket watch or pendulum and by magic you change your life without your own input.
Willpower is self-discipline, training and improvement of the self for personal improvement and benefit and it is self-control, or the ability to exert will over inhibitions of the body or self.
In other words, you have to be involved in the process of the therapy.
